Sachal Rizvi is an architect, illustrator and artist based between Tallinn, Estonia, and Lahore, Pakistan. He received his B.Arch in Architectural Design from the National College of Arts (2013) and an MA in Contemporary Arts from the Estonian Academy of Arts (2024). His professional work spans architectural illustration, concept art, and storyboarding, and he has exhibited both locally and internationally in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
Sachal’s art practice focuses on an expanded approach to drawing, using spontaneity and improvisation to explore themes such as lived experience, temporality, and imagination. His recent interest in automatic drawing and drawing scores fosters collaborative knowledge production, encouraging a dialogue between individual and collective creativity. He is passionate about using drawing as a tool to push the boundaries of perception and experience, recently experimenting with drawing as a research-based practice.
